Floating Shoes

Looking at how a seaplane stands on water, we thought that we could use the same system of floating to walk on water.

Indeed, we imagined we could build some kind of  “Floatable shoes” with stabilizers allowing a human being weighing between  60 and 80 Kg to walk on water.

By looking on the internet, we discovered that those shoes already existed :

So we tried to contact the Chinese company of two websites that were selling those shoes so as to get an answer to some questions that we had about their product and to ask them if they could send us a sample because their product was too expensive for us.

Here is the mail we sent:

Unfortunately, we did not get any mail back.

However it was predictable.

But we found some characteristics of the fabric that they use and the size of the shoes:

MATERIAL                                  Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

SIZE                                           Variable according to the conditions

COLOUR                                    Yellow

WEIGHT                                     Depending on the body weight of the person

Hello,

We are three students from Parc Chabrières high school, Lyon, France. We are working on a research project :"Is it possible to walk on water?"

We are very impressed by your kind of " floating shoes" :

So we wanted to know if it was possible to get more information:

How did you get the idea for your product?;

Which materials do you use?;

What is the size of one shoe? ;

Is it possible to walk on seas and rivers and lakes? ;

Are they really stable?;

How do you inflate them?;

Do they need to be reinflated often ?

We would be very grateful and thankful if you could answer our questions and why not send us a sample or even a pair because as students, we cannot afford to purchase them ourselves.

Here is our mail : alyssaroojee@gmail.com
